USAID Uganda Good Life Integrated HIV Counselling and Testing Kampala

ICOBI is partnering Uganda Health Marketing Group (UHMG) and John Hopkins University (JHU) and is implementing the USAID Uganda Integrated HIV Counselling and Testing in all the 5 divisions in Kampala City.

This program which started in September 2013 will run until September 2015. The program aims to increase access to, coverage of, and utilisation HIV/TB prevention, care, and treatment services within district health facilities and their respective communities


The program targets Commercial Sex Workers, Lesbians Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT), Boda Boda roders, Taxi/bus drivers and conductors, Couples, Mechanics, and Affluent and working class.

Objectives of the program

  • To increase demand for HCT services as an entry point to prevention and care services
  • To increase access to and utilisation of HCT services among the most risk populations
  • To strengthen networks, referral systems and linkages to other HIV/AIDS, TB, Reproductive Health, Maternal and Child Health services
  • To build capacity for sustainability of services initiated by the project

The program is implemented using 4 tent, Outreach, Mobile Van, Home based and Work place Non facility-based HCT
